Career Science™ Research

  • Multidisciplinary Study of Career Fitness

  • Research-based, Data-driven

  • Analysis of Cross-skill Strengths that Optimize Workplace Performance

  • Personal Training Approach for Career Fitness Development

Career Science is the systematic study of career performance through analysis, observation, and experimentation, including the comprehensive review of reliable research to inform best practices for workplace performance. Thus, Career Science is applying the predictive power of research to inform and build distinguishing behaviors for career effectiveness.

Across Boundaries

Career Science is not content or industry specific. Just like exercise science is not sport specific, it works on the underpinnings that drive timeless excellence across career roles. More akin to mortar, than to bricks, Career Science studies workplace muscles rather than expertise. Across most roles and industries, great intellect and skills flourish through confidence, discipline, agility, advocacy, presence, reflection, and more. These muscles build the fitness and strength behind any skill set, and these abilities are our focus in applying Career Science.

Career Fitness™

We view Career Science as our informed context, relying on research to build awareness and set direction for work improvements with practical impact. Career Fitness Coaching uses the predictive power of this research to address the typical challenges at each career stage: onboarding, individual contributor, team player, team leader, business leader. Our coaches teach and foster best practices to help clients overcome typical challenges with efficiency and effectiveness. Like personal training, this is targeted, action-focused coaching that integrates best practices to overcome typical career challenges and optimize performance.

Our goal is to help individuals build their professional muscles to achieve their ultimate career goals. We focus on multidimensional career fitness beginning with leading self, then leading others, and growing toward leading the mission to engage talent to achieve a shared vision.
